We had a fantastic albeit HOT week at TLS this week. As it was well over 90 degrees (and often over 100 degrees) we stayed very wet whenever we ventured outside. We were watching today as the teachers turned the climber on the courtyard into a water park today to the huge amusement of all of the children.
While all of the water play was going on outside, we spent the week inside working on the school website. We began work with the teacher page which was embarrassingly out of date. To begin our site remodel, we had new photos taken of all of the teachers. We collected new bios that the teachers wrote. We took pictures of the new classrooms at both buildings. We photographed the children collecting vegetables in the garden. It was a sweet week of reflection. The changes to the teacher pages should be in place by next week's blog entry.
Once we finished the teacher page, we started to think about the rest of the website. We brainstormed about the kinds of things that we would like to see on the site, but then we realized that maybe we were going about this all wrong. We wondered if it wouldn't serve us all better to ask you what you would like to see on the website. We would be very grateful if you would take a few moments to let us know how the website could better serve your family. You can post comments here, or write us, or visit us, or even call or email your suggestions. We would love to know that when we are finished the site will be organized in a way that best serves you.
We also want to remind you about some upcoming events:
1. On August 23rd there will be a parent meeting for Miss Dana and Miss Jennie's class from 9:00-10:00 in the diningroom.
2. Class photos are coming up in September. Please look for preorder sheets at both campuses.
Finally, we want to officially welcome our new Program Director Miss Wendy, Miss Dana in the TK, Miss Michelle in the Young Middlers, and Miss Lindsey in the Tobblers. WELCOME to you all!
